Jason Ingram
Jason Ingram earned Christian songwriter of the year honors at Thursday’s SESAC’s Christian Music Awards, held at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville.
Ingram — who penned songs recorded by Christian acts including Mikeschair, The Afters and Tenth Avenue North (“Keep Changing The World,” “Light Up The Sky” and “Healing Begins,” respectively) — also collected the honor at SESAC’s 2007, 2008 and 2009 Christian Music Awards.
SESAC’s Tim Fink and John Mullins hosted the awards dinner, which recognized the year’s top-played Christian songs penned by SESAC songwriters and their publishers.
Sony ATV Timber Publishing was named SESAC’s 2010 Christian publishers of the year. Additional songwriters honored for their work include Cary Barlowe (also known for performing with local rock groups Luna Halo and the Honeymoon Thrillers), Ian Eskelin, Tenth Avenue North’s Mike Donehey, Regie Hamm and Tiffany Arbuckle Lee.
In total, the writers and producers of more than 25 songs were recognized during the ceremony with medallions and plaques for their success on Billboard’s Christian music charts.
